I came across your website while searching for answers. My name is Carol and I live in a very small town in southeast
Georgia. We moved here last July from Atlanta. I am going to tell you some of what has been going on and ask you to look at
our photo and give me your honest opinion. Our house was built in 1903 by a wealthy man named George Taylor . He had six daughters.
One was named Pearle. She was born in 1894. She was scheduled to leave on August 28, 1910 to go to school in Atlanta. She
never made it. The night before her departure, Pearle got up in the middle of the night to help her sister with her baby who
was ill. The oil from the lamp splashed on Pearle's nightgown and she caught fire. She fell to the bottom of the staircase,
engulfed in flames. She lingered the rest of the day until she finally died. We were not aware of any of this until after
we bought the house. By then we were experiencing alot of strange events. The story of Pearle was told to us by her great-nephew,
who is still alive. He said his parents could not live in the house because the ghost bothered his mother too much. They built
a house in the backyard of this one, moved in, and sold the house in the 1980"s. We bought the house from that individual.
The photo in question was taken 4-30-05, my son Jacob's prom night. He and his friends came to the house about 8 pm for photos.
We took several. The last 2 were on the staircase. There was less than 10 secs. between the two shots. The first one was fine,
but the last one had something on it. After the kids left we went into the kitchen for dinner. We heard the upstairs door
begin to slam violently. They slam on their own alot but never like this. We jokingly said Pearle must be upset that
she didn't get to go to prom. We didn't notice the photo until the next morning. On Monday I took the camera to our local
photography studio. He put the memory card into his computer and ran it thru his programs. He said it is not light reflections,
dust particles, artifacts, or camera failure. He said it is 3 dimensional, in motion, and has well defined edges. He also
stated that it is behind the stair post, not in front of it. He also said he could make out a face, a female face in it. I
asked what it was and he replied a ghost. I have since done alot of research, and we have a investigating team coming out.
Since you have alot of experience with this, please give me your honest opinion. It would take me an hour to tell you of all
the strange thing that go on here. It is well known thru the county that the house is haunted. I even have people tell me
they have nightmares about my house! Thank you so much for taking the time just to read my email. I look forward to hearing
from you....Carol Kodobocz
