Whittington Hospital: Is this the ghostly image of a boy who died centuries ago?

This is the mysterious image which ghost hunter Leonard Low says proves that something paranormal lies beneath the Whittington
Hospital in Highgate.
The father of two was visiting a friend who was having surgery in the Archway Road hospital when he was told by nurses
of “a strange presence” in the 19th Century arches deep underground.
Armed with his camera and accompanied by a curious Whittington administrator, he descended down to the basement to investigate
the paranormal tales.
“Nobody had been in this area for years,” said the 44-year-old.
“The ground was crystallised like snow.
“We began walking down this long corridor with files all around us. We walked for around five or six paces when we
saw something down the corridor moving.
“There was something hovering in front of us and getting closer and closer.
“We saw this trail of light – it was flashing all over the place. Then I saw the ghostly image of the young
boy.”
Mr Low said he heard reports from nurses of a ghost like figure watching them, prompting him to investigate.
The Whittington hospital is steeped in history, dating back to the 15th Century when a leper colony was founded there.
Mr Low believes the ghostly apparition of a young boy who appeared before him was the spirit of a child called William
who lost his life there in these early years.
It was not the first time the father-of-two has felt the presence of those beyond the grave.
When Mr Low was 21 an apparition of his sister in her nightgown appeared to him – a fortnight after she died.
And dozens of people have reported glimpsing ghosts at his 18th Century Scottish tower, Tolbooth, which was used to imprison
and torture women during the bloody witch hunts.
Describing the “extraordinary pain” he experiences when in the presence of a ghost, Mr Low said: “I get
pins and needles in the back of my head and I find it hard to see.
“It is as if my skin knows there is something there.”
The truth of the eerie apparitions within the basement of the Whittington is far from clear, but a spokeswoman for the
hospital said they are aware of reports of a ghost lurking there.
The tale of the Whittington ghost is explored in Mr Low’s new book, True Story of the Pittenweem Poltergeist.
A hospital spokeswoman said: “Whittington Health is aware that there have been ghost stories about sightings and
feelings in the smallpox hospital over the years. There is no evidence but the tale continues.”
My nephew died the day after this photo was taken with his camera phone. The photo of him with the bike he died
on was taken by my digital camera 7/15/05, the day he bought the bike..
I went to a cemetary one night to see if I could get something on my digital camera and wow.I did this to prove something to
me.Now I am hooked and want to visit haunted areas to see what I can come up with. Mike
The two photographs below were taken of my granddaughter 3 years ago in front of a tree
in my yard.There were two cameras used one color one black and white.There is two different angles.I have the original negatives.It
appears to be some sort of facial figure in the tree and in one photo it appears to be blurry in front of a pile of leaves.

seen a bright light, sky opening.I took some photos and downloaded them on my computer.5 days later, I set one as my desktop
background and couldn't believe what I was looking at.I have since showed this to many people and would like to share it with

The Photograph Below was sent in by, Tina Collins. She says the following-This is a photo of my twin boys, that was taken at their grandfather's house in 1996 on October 8th. It was their
5th birthday. We thought it was just the candle, and the flame, but if you look closer, you are able to see faces in
the flames. What is it? Is it just the candle flame, We've taken several birthday photos before with the
cake lit and never experienced this before.
Photograph below, I liked your site and was searching around the net for a couple of good
sites to submit a couple of photos to. We've been in this house for 5 years and have experienced all kinds of paranormal
activity since. We really never thought about taking photos but did get a couple of really good EVP's. Just
lately I've been taking some photos with my Nikon Coolpix 3100. I've also read the controversey surrounding the ORB
phenomena.

My beloved dog passed away a year ago and my other 2 puppies have always acted strange
over her old food dish, so we had to switch dishes....well this photo
was taken with a disposable camera and I have never seen any "orbs" in all of the other cameras, or photos but these
2. zoom in at hallway too...............(my dog China kept
having strokes every hour,and she was my baby) When
we put her to sleep ,i thought i was just all cryed out and going nuts or something, but i saw a doubled vision of her, rise
up. And later i told my husband what i saw and we think it was her spirit.
In the hallway is exactly what I saw in real life,well not
quite as clear, or closeup. Thank you . Erica

Photograph was taken at my mom's house after my Grandma died. A vortex (?) I think and what looks like a
child's face on the wall. Kind of hard to see. My daughter is the redhead sitting and I was the one sitting behind the ghost
beside her. My little girl has an imaginary "friend" she seems to talk to alot and sometimes I can hear her argue with him
in her room. She drew a picture of him and it looks like the ones I see on the ghost sites. She knows alot about him too. Don and wanda Hastings
