We let Tupes stay inside last night, so for the fun of it I set up a motion-sensor camera that Jeff and Brian bought
me for Christmas to see what he did during the night. I draped an afghan over the coffee table a few days ago and Tupes likes
to hide in there, so I pointed the camera in that direction and went to bed.
The camera woke up at 1:07 in the morning and took this video. It shows Tupes yawning and then lazily looking around. He looks toward the doorwall (to
the right in the video) and seems to see something out there. I suspect it was his reflection, but it could have been a raccoon
or any other animal that routinely patrols the area at night. You can see him stand and then arch his back just before the
video cuts out.
After it takes a video, the camera automatically pauses, so we don't see Tupes leave the scene. We
also don't see him come back, so I assume he slept somewhere else for a while. He likes to curl up on Deb's recliner because
he know she is allergic to him, so maybe that is where he went.
So that was fun (hey, we're old and we enjoy things
like that!) There were a couple others around 3:30, one where he walked toward the doorwall rather calmly, probably going to get some food, and one where there is no movement
at all.
Great nephews cat see's Ghost video below is what happened next..Spirits move around the room
At 4:09 in the morning we got an interesting video. When I first watched it I thought it was a moth flying across the screen. (We
have killed a few of them around here in the last couple weeks, but that's another story so we won't go there.) But on closer
viewing, you can see there are a number of things moving from right to left. They seem to have some weight and drop as they
move across the screen.
I got up about 6:30 and came downstairs a little after 7:00. Nobody besides Tupes was down here. When I came down, I thought I could smell the faint odor of cat urine, but I looked
(and sniffed) all over and never could find anything. I even checked the area with a black light and nothing showed up. Tupes
went out for a while and the smell seemed to go away, so maybe I was just smelling him, I don't know.
The reason I
say all that is I suspect what shows up in the video is him spraying, but I don't know if that would smell or not. And if
it does smell, is it as strong as cat urine? If so, that's not what this is because the smell is gone now.
Another
thing that argues with the spraying theory is a little dot that dances around in front of the VCR in the first second of the
video. It starts out right above the bright white mark, makes a counter-clockwise circle, and flies off to the left.
I
sure wish Tupes could tell us what happened!
This was video taped when the motion sensor was set off at my niece Kims sons home by spirits in his home. A women died
